“Africa – You can see a sunset and believe you have witnessed the Hand of God.
You watch the slope lope of a lioness and forget to breathe.
You marvel at the tripod of a giraffe bent to water.
In Africa, there are iridescent blues on the wings of birds that you do not see anywhere else in nature.
In Africa, in the midday heat, you can see blisters in the atmosphere. When you are in Africa, you feel primordial, rocked in the cradle of the world.”
'Jodi Picoult’

Client

I first met Charry when she was involved in planning a trip for us to Kenya and Zanzibar in 2011. At the time I was very impressed with her and used her exclusively on 3 future trips: to South Africa, Botswana, and Morocco. In all cases I was travelling with a group of friends from Canada. Charry listened carefully to our preferences and all the trips exceeded expectations in terms of quality and value of accommodation, guides, transportation. She also arranged excellent day trips and interesting “things to do” in all the places we visited. I have always appreciated how incredibly efficient she is – very quick to respond to queries both before the trips as well as during our travels. Furthermore, Charry is friendly and approachable, willing to listen to concerns and to answer questions. I have referred Charry to several friends and would not hesitate to continue to use her services and to recommend her to others.

Charry arranged our Masai Mara trip in Kenya in 2016, booking out the entire Governor’s Camp for our rowdy group. She was amazing – she looked after our group of 75 from morning to evening, and the location was superb. She pays a great amount of attention to detail and she is hands on – highly recommended!

About
At Bella Luna Safaris, we design authentic African journeys shaped around your interests, pace, and comfort. My connection to the continent runs deep: I was born and raised in South Africa, and spent years exploring Africa overland—traveling more than 37,000 km through swamps, savannas, rainforests, mountains, and coastlines. Along the way, I encountered extraordinary wildlife, diverse cultures, and the raw beauty that makes Africa unforgettable. Those experiences inspired me to share this magic with others. Since 2011, I’ve been crafting tailor‑made itineraries that blend expert planning, trusted local partners, and seamless logistics. I prioritize safety, transparency, and responsible tourism, supporting conservation and community initiatives across the regions I work in.
From luxury lodges to private 4x4 game drives, my goal is to create meaningful, memorable safaris with attentive, end‑to‑end service—so you can experience Africa the way it deserves to be felt.
